La'Shardae & Eric Scott are the parents of two boys who live with the lifelong illness of sickle cell disease. Their eldest son who does not have the disease, wanted to know more about his brother's illness. Due to the family's experience, La'Shardae and Eric decided to write a book to explain some basic information to him and others. Next Eric decided to start Scoot books 34 to publish more materials about rare diseases while advocating.
